At CESMACH we work our plots organically. High quality coffee produced sustainably and ethically.
CESMACH is distinguished by the quality of its coffee, which is grown in the highlands of the Sierra Madre de Chiapas, under the shade of trees and within the great biodiversity of the El Triunfo Biosphere Reserve. This agrosystem not only improves the quality of the coffee but also protects and promotes biodiversity and ecosystems. The coffee is harvested manually and processed in an artisanal way.
The El Triunfo Biosphere Reserve
Decreed on March 13, 1990, with an area of 119,177 hectares in the municipalities of Villacorzo, La Concordia, Ángel A. Corzo, Siltepec, Acacoyahua, Mapastepec, Pijijiapan, Monte Cristo de Guerrero and Escuintla, in the central portion of the Sierra Madre of Chiapas.
Brief History of CESMACH SC
It happened that around the year 1992, a group of people, with the support of the technicians of the “El Triunfo Biosphere Reserve”, tried to form the new organization, however, they faced a very complicated situation at the time of wanting to form it, since the social and economic conditions were not favorable for the implementation of organizational processes for the integration or improvement of agricultural production and agro-industrialization or marketing.
Vision
To be a conscious, trustworthy and united organization of small coffee producers that provides efficient services to its members and offers high-quality products to consumers; that preserves and protects natural resources in its plots and in the El Triunfo Biosphere Reserve, thus contributing to the economic, ecological and social improvements of the Sierra Madre of Chiapas and Mexico.
Mission
To meet the needs and expectations of coffee producing and consuming families by incorporating sustainable organic agriculture in the El Triunfo Biosphere Reserve, which integrates competitive services and appropriate inputs to strengthen relationships between associated families and with the market, as well as improving the quality of life of all participants.
